I’ve been trying to learn guitar since Christmas and I’m to impatient to learn a full song. My uncle just bought me a really nice new acoustic guitar hoping that I would learn and I really want to. Could you please give me some easy acoustic songs that are sorta popular right now? Oh, and please, only give me strumming songs, I’m no good whatsoever at picking. I can only play Free Fallin’ by Tom Petty and When You Look Me in the Eyes by the Jonas Brothers if that helps.

Good Riddance- Greeen Day, just strum the chords.. (picking is kind of easy though, and fun)
Wonderwall- Oasis
a little harder but good challenges:
Santa monica- everclear
Big Me- Foo Fighters

the first song i learnt on acoustic (chords) was let there be love – oasis
really simple chord progression, can’t find the one I learnt from but look on 911 tabs for a version
another really easy one is babydoll by the fratellis the progression goes
G Em Am D throughout the verses
Wonderwall is quite easy and very satisfying when you get it right but the above two are easier
