How man licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop>?

I am trying out for my schools soccer team in high school and i need to learn how to juggle for 7 minutes straight. I can sort of juggle but i am hopeless when it comes to “popping up” the ball with your feet. I know you have to start wit your toe on the ball and roll the ball back fast in a “circle” motion and let the ball roll onto your foot and then kick it up. Is that right? I have been outside in 20 degree (F) weather ,freezing for the past 30 minutes doing nothing but trying to pop the ball up with my feet and i just cannot get it. I am frustrated.

Probably half of the ones I buy won’t pop into position so that the pump is usable, so I end up having to pour the contents into a previously used bottle. I usually start by turning clockwise (maybe I should turn counter-clockwise first?) and if that doesn’t work I turn it the other direction. Eventually some of them pop and some of them never do. Does anyone else ever have this problem, and what’s the solution?
