  1. wooden book Says:

Try dusting the shoe soles with powdered rosin. You should be able to find it at any good sporting goods store. Dick’s probably has it in a shake out can. It’s cheap…you can shake a little out on the floor or a newpaper and step into it rubbing the soles of the shoes through it, prior to getting on the dance floor…

Alright first off, DO NOT use powder. That will make thm much more slippery and dangerous. I would usually say to use some hairspray or wet the soles, but im not sure how well that will work considering yours are plastic. Try out the water and see how that goes, if not, then do the hairspray, and also you could try some clear nail polish.

ok use crushed rosin or baby powder
if you dont own or cant borrow any from anyody
spit on the ground and more your shoe in it
i know it sounds gross but it wont ruin your shoes or make you feel like an idiot when you slip :] true story
if you dont want to do that just use baby powder or rosin
it really helps and works :]

Try to rough up the soles with sandpaper or a wire brush. Wetting them can be dangerous and can sometimes make them more slippy…especially if they are plastic. If you can’t rough them up, then I would go with the powered rosin.

most dancers use rosin for slippery shoes
but if you dont have any ive heard wetting the bottoms with water or hairspray works
    but ive only used rosin

  6. Kate Says:

Put baby powder on the bottoms before you go dancing. That’s what I do and it works wonderfully!
Good luck, and happy dancing. :]
