I’m starting a pop choir, similar in style to groups like Acquire A Cappella, Cornell Chordials, Harvard Veritones, etc.
I have a really good program for arranging music, but I’m not sure how to go about it. Should I start with the solo melody line, and work from the bass up? Any advice would be appreciated.

Always start with the original basic melody. Try recording it then listen to it back. Then you can start adding, changing, tweeking, or removing things… Don’t be afraid to try different things or of taking liberties that suit the style of music you like. But remember…Don’t stray too much away from the basic melodies KEY music notes that make the song what it is to begin with. GOOD LUCK!
