		<description>I use them every year.....I have never had a problem....I see them pop and I always just double check with my thermometer and they are accurate every year....so I would say they are safe.</description>

		<description>To me, they are unreliable. They have some kind of substance at their base that supposedly gets heated up to a certain point and expands, causing the timer to pop up. Basting fluids can affect them and cause them to pop before the full time of cooking is reached.
You probably spent a lot on the turkey - I would spend a few more bucks on a meat thermometer and be sure....</description>
